I'm sorry to bother you but I checked your faq and I couldn't find a solution for my problem. is there a way to hide the captions? a tutorial said I had to delete {Caption} but when I click on the post it deletes the caption there as well, I only want to hide it from the home page but not the whole theme :(

In the code, replace all of the {block:Caption}{Caption}{/block:Caption} with:

{block:PermalinkPage}{block:Caption}{Caption}{/block:Caption}{/block:PermalinkPage}

Now your caption will only show if you click through to the post’s permalink :)

how can you get your graphics/gifs more noticed? its so upsetting when i work hard on something and i dont get a lot of notes! it makes blogging on tumblr less fun -.-

Aw well if you’re focusing on the amount of notes you get then of course tumblr won’t be as fun! Try not to make this a competition, as long as you enjoy making your graphics/gifs then that’s all that should matter. Everyone starts out like that so don’t be discouraged. Just be patient and continue tagging your stuff, follow more people with same interests, etc :)

what psd do you generally use to brighten a gif and bring out all the colors? like /post/44655214615

Well for MMFD, I have 15+ psds saved because of the weird lighting they use for different scenes… so it depends! But normally, it’s brightness/contrast and curves to brighten a gif, and selective coloring and color balance to bring out the colors.

If the gif still isn’t bright or colorful enough, you can always add hue/saturation but I never go past +20 otherwise it’s too much.
